The pharmaceutical industryOverview of Medical Purified Water Medical purified water refers to the specialized purified water used in fields such as pharmaceutical preparations, injections, biological products, raw material production, and medical applications. The water produced by medical purified water equipment should meet the relevant requirements of the 2015 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (GMP). If the products are for export, they need to comply with the requirements of the U.S. FDA or obtain EU certification. Based on the varying demands for purified water from different users, tailored complete process designs are implemented to meet the water requirements of pharmaceutical factories and hospitals for the production of purified water and large-volume infusions. Common processes can be summarized as two-stage reverse osmosis (RO) processes, and new processes such as RO + EDI.
